Domestic pig is a sub species of the wild boar.
Size: 55cm to 1.1m
Weight: 50 to 350Kg
Colour: Dark grey to brown, domestic pigs range in colour but are generally pink.
Lifespan: 10 to 27 years.
Sexing: Dimorphic, the male is larger than the female.
Distribution: Central Europe, Asia far northern areas of Africa. Introduced to Australia and America.
Habitat: Live in variety of habitats mostly moist forest and shrubland.
Threats: Secure in the wild including introduced populations and commonly kept as domesticated pig.
